Ingredients

Scale

For the Shrimp:

  • 1 pound (450g) tiger shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

For the Garlic Butter Sauce:

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon white wine (optional, for extra flavor)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Shrimp: Pat the shrimp dry with a paper towel. Season with salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and red pepper flakes.
  • Sear the Shrimp: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp in a single layer and cook for 1-2 minutes per side until they turn pink and slightly golden. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  • Make the Garlic Butter Sauce: In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add the butter. Once melted, add minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Add the Flavor: Stir in lemon zest, lemon juice, Italian seasoning, and white wine (if using). Let the sauce simmer for 1 minute to blend the flavors.
  • Combine Everything: Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat in the garlic butter sauce. Cook for another 1-2 minutes until heated through.
  • Garnish and Serve: Remove from heat and sprinkle with fresh parsley. Serve immediately with extra lemon wedges on the side.
