Hugo Spritz: A Refreshing Italian Classic

  • Author: Chef Clara

Ingredients

Scale

      • 2 oz (60 ml) elderflower liqueur (e.g., St-Germain)

      • 4 oz (120 ml) Prosecco (dry or extra-dry)

      • 1 oz (30 ml) soda water

      • Fresh mint leaves (5-6 leaves)

      • 2 lime slices

      • Ice cubes

    Instructions

      1. Prepare the Glass
Start with a large wine glass filled with ice cubes to keep the drink perfectly chilled.
      2. Add the Elderflower Liqueur
Pour 2 ounces of elderflower liqueur into the glass. This step sets the foundation for the drink’s sweet and floral flavor.
      3. Top with Prosecco and Soda Water
Gently add 4 ounces of Prosecco and 1 ounce of soda water to the glass. Pour slowly to preserve the bubbles.
      4. Garnish with Mint and Lime
Add 5-6 fresh mint leaves and 2 slices of lime to the glass for a refreshing aroma and citrusy tang.
      5. Stir and Serve
Lightly stir the drink to mix the ingredients without losing the carbonation. Serve immediately and enjoy!
